We are excited to announce our Honorary Chair for the 25th Anniversary Ball, Chris Hoffman, Mayor of Jacksonville Beach.
"This is a real full-circle moment for me! I started volunteering with the American Cancer Society when I was a UF student and my mom was going through breast cancer treatment. I started my career in advocacy in Tallahassee, worked on the Smoke-Free for Health campaign making restaurants smoke-free and ACS brought me back to Jacksonville Beach where I served as the Executive Director for Nassau, Beaches, and St. Johns Units.
I am so glad to continue to support this important and impactful organization as it furthers the fight against a disease that has touched all of us in one way or another! Mark your calendars for November 6 and I hope you’ll join me at the event!"
For more than 100 years, The American Cancer Society has been leading the fight to end cancer. With your support, we have helped usher in an era where more people survive cancer than ever before. By translating our research findings into action, we've seen a 20% decline in US cancer death rates since the early 1990s.
